Just like username, Instagram name is searchable through the Instagram search. You can put some keywords to help people find you.
Many people make a common mistake by writing their full name here. For instance, the username is @caklontong, while the name is Cak Lontong.
That’s actually not wrong, especially if you are an influencer who are famous with strong personal branding, because many people will know your name and they will just type it in the search box to find you.
However, if you are new to Instagram with just a few followers, it is not recomended to use the same username and name. because you’ll lose the chance of gaining new followers from people who area searching on Instagram. And that is not good.
Instagram name can be changed anytime. It’s not permanent. You are free to experiment with any names later.
