Researching Frequently Used Hashtags of an Account

There are many hashtags research techniques on Instagram. One thing for sure, it is quite challenging. Why?

  • We need to test earch hashtag (by using trial and error method) to find out which on are most effective (which bring our post to top post seaction), SO our post can reach many people.
  • Besides, Instagram do not provide search volume data and followers count of a hashtags.

So, the most efficient way to research hashtag is by analyzing the most popular ones that are frequently used by influencer(popular account with many followers).

Why?

Simply, because..

If a hashtag is often used by an influencer, it's most likely that the hashtag has a significant impact on increasing post-coverage. .

So with Virol, we can easily find out the hashtag that an Instagram account uses in just 2 easy steps.

1. Run Insights Tool

By clicking oninsights button next to the follow button on an account you are visiting.

 

2. Choose hashtags menu and see the results

Here you can see the hashtags data in the table with 5 columns:

  1. First column (the left one): checkbox, to choose hashtags that you want to save or copy.
  2. Hashtags name, this is the hashtags found by Virol in post caption of a given Instagram accounts. But for hashtags that are placed on comments couldn’t be detected by Virol.
  3. Hashtags Popularity, this is the amount of posts on Instagram that used the hashtags. You can click the numbers in this column to open the hashtag page on Instagram.
  4. # Post Found this is the amount of posts found by Virol in an analyzed page that use a given hashtag. You can click the number in this column too to go to the instagram hashtag page so see other posts that use a given hashtag.
  5. % Usage is a comparison of the number of posts that contain a given hashtag, compared to the entire post that was found Virol in the analyzed page. The Bigger the percentage, the more often it is used.

So which hashtag that should we choose?

Of course the most important hashtag is the most used hashtag, the one ehich has high % usage.

But later when you use the hashtags, you have to use the relevant ones with content you are posting. Don’t forget to consider the size or popularity of the hashtag too.

Choosing and Saving Hashtag

Click checkbox (check list) in the first column, then click saved caption button.

You can also choose some hashtags at one time (shift + select) by holding shift button in your keyboard before clicking the checkbox.
